What is Frisco Pet Partners?
Our mission is to perpetually support the City of Frisco, Texas, it’s citizens, and it’s pets by providing animal education, support low-cost veterinarian options, and helping to reduce the homeless pet population.
Our dream and vision is for every domesticated animal in Frisco to have a healthy and happy home.
Our Leaders
We are a dedicated group of pet lovers who love and support our community.
By helping our pets, we believe we are helping everyone live a more fulfilling life.
Chris Fields - Co-Founder and President
Animals have been an integral part of Chris’s life from his first Great Dane as a toddler to his variety of hamsters, bunnies, and even mice while growing up. At the age of 12 he had his first foster fail, a dachshund mutt named Mokey, that his mother allowed him to foster then spent the next 17 years with the family. Chris volunteered at local rescues and shelters throughout high school and college and finally got his first doggo of his own in college, a German Shepard mix named Hobbes. In 1996, Chris moved in with his future wife Glenda. Glenda had always had cats growing up like Chris did with dogs so as all couples must do, they compromised… Chris has now had cats for the last 27 years. Chris continued his passion of helping animals throughout their lives in multiple cities including Dallas, Redondo Beach, and finally to Frisco where he and Laura Rummel founded Frisco Pet Partners to help promote education and advocacy for the betterment of domesticated fur babies in our beloved city. Chris saw an initiative he advocated come true with the creation of Frisco’s Animal Advisory Committee in 2022, and currently serves as Chairman of the Frisco Animal Advisory Board.
Laura Rummel - Co-founder and Treasurer
Laura realized her love and compassion for dogs in college, but it wasn't until she rescued her dog Chance (who you may recognize from Frisco Pet Partner's logo) she realize she could be doing so much more. She volunteered for nearly a decade with a DFW rescue as a transporter, handler, medical coordinator, and foster coordinator. Living in Frisco, she recognized the city had an unmet need of a centralized place to get pet help. Not only did she co-found Frisco Pet Partners, but she's also the driving force behind the city starting Frisco's Animal Advisory Committee.
Her and her husband Hayden can often be found walking their rescue dogs through one of the many parks and trails in Frisco.

Tammi Tysell - Secretary
One of Tammi’s earliest memories in South Texas is sitting under the Christmas tree holding kitty Mott while watching her kittens attack the low hanging ornaments. Tammi has not been without a cat or three in her life since then.
Despite husband Ken’s allergies, they currently share their home with Gigi and Buster. Gigi is nearly toothless due to an autoimmune disorder
but is the cuddliest old lady. Big boy, mischievous Buster is a foster-fail
acquired during the pandemic. Buster has proven to be the best foster
kitten ambassador! The household also includes Sally, a mid-size mixed
breed rescue pupper who does not enjoy the attentions of the cats.
Tammi and family have fostered upwards of
35 Habitat 4 Paws kitties with more in the future. It is so rewarding to see these kitties
go from bedraggled to beautiful and placed in their forever homes.
When not cleaning litter pans, Tammi keeps up with all the activities of
two teens and has served on her neighborhood HOA Board of Directors
for several years, as well as the Habitat 4 Paws board.
Tammi joined FPP in November 2023.
A retired clinical pharmacist, Tammi holds a B.S. Pharmacy and Pharmacy Doctorate.

James Widman - Board member
James got his first dog at age 6. A neighbor kid was unable to keep a puppy so James took the puppy
home, and then asked mom and dad.. “can we keep her?" Well, they did keep the pup, and James has always had a special connection with pets and helping others. James enjoys running and completed several marathons including the Boston, NYC, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Seattle, and Moscow, USSR in
1987. He would run to raise money for charity and went on to co-chair the first American Cancer Society 24-Hour Relay in Houston.
He was instrumental in establishing the Houston Marathon “Run for a Reason” Program where runners select an Official Charity Partner. Since its inception in 1995 the marathon program has raised over $37 million to benefit various charitable organizations. James enjoys playing guitar, fitness training, walking
dogs and serves on several non-profit Boards in civic service and animal advocacy. He and wife Arda have been married for over 20 years and they have one dog-Layla, (adopted) pittie mix and foster and volunteer through a local rescue group. James is a spay and neuter advocate and hopes for the day that
overpopulation is history and that all companion pets are safe and healthy.
